All About The Apple iPad And Laptop Wireless Internet
How to Select the Best Business Laptops
The corporate life is hectic, so it is important to have a fast, reliable, lightweight notebook that can maximize your daily output by keeping your projects organized and your workflow streamlined.
One of the first things you need to look for in a business laptop is wireless connectivity. A wireless networking card allows you to connect to the Internet via thousands of wireless networks (also called hotspots) located nationwide. This means more convenient and readily available access to your emails and business clientèle.
Another great option is a bluetooth card. This will allow you to connect and transfer data between your PDAs and your notebook, without the need for messy wires, which can add weight and clutter to your carrying case.
A third feature to look for in a business notebook would be VGA and S-Video outputs to ensure connectivity with any projectors you may need to utilize for video or slideshow presentations.
As far as individual specifications, you really only need a base-line configuration with integrated graphics to handle any word processing or basic programs like email clients, DVD software, web browsers etc. Unless you plan on doing an inordinate amount of multi-tasking or video production, it would be wise to put any extra cash into other accessories like office suite software, which can really help you manage your day-to-day workload.
Whether at home or on the road, a good business laptop can really improve the quality of your work life by providing you with all of the essential tools you need to efficiently manage your daily tasks. From planning your appointments and schedules to writing reports, sending email, and staying up-to-date with all of the latest business news and headlines, a business laptop is the only device that can effectively handle all of your work-related duties in one convenient, easy-to-use system.
Just remember to consider all of these important tips to ensure that your laptop can meet and/or exceed all of your business needs.

What is the best way a woman can tell if a man is against her because of her gender?
I feel that I have this going on at work. I was recently promoted and with it I got a new office instead of a smaller one that I shared with two other male workers and one female. Now I work in my own office and have longer hours but the pay is way more than what I was getting. I went from $31,000 a year to $52,300 a year. Almost half of what i was getting. The position I am at now was not an easy thing to accomplish, nor was it something I took for granted. All those who wanted to be promoted to the position I got promoted to had to complete a 3 month class of learning new material and new software data. Which also included computer programing to make the software run on laptops without burning the system out. We also had to put in at least 4 hours a day on top of the already 8 hours we were working the regular job. The training class for this new promotion was only 4 days a week so I chose to do them two hours after I got off of work for 4 days a week.
It was one of the most hardest things I’ve ever done and the directors did not in no way make it easier on me because I am a woman or because I am black. There were 17 of us to start with. 5 dropped out in the first week and then 4 more dropped out during the weeks to come. In the end there were me and 8 other people from my job left. And I made sure I did all of my assignments as soon as I got them so I would not slack behind in any work. And every time I did not under stand something I would make sure to ask questions and take notes at the end of each class. When the training session was over I was so surprised to hear that I had been the one who was selected. One of the male instructors of the program told me that he was very impressed with my work and that he admired my dedication. When I got home I cried for over an hour and called all of my family and friends and told them the good news.
Back at work when I was moving my things from the shared office to the new office that was all mine. One of my co-workers told me that a few of the guys who stayed in the training program with me were saying that they should have know that t would be given to the only black woman left in the program. Because I would have probably just slept my way to the top anyhow. I didn’t let her know that it pissed me off. So I just told her its not my fault because I never slacked off of any assignment and I made sure that I understood every instruction given to me. But it actually did piss me off. I went to college and earned my education, just as I earned my career and my promotion. Why do some men think that women can only succeed in the business world because of their gender?

All men are pigs and want to stick their little things inside of us. That’s all you need to know! Women are genetically designed to only be with other women so don’t let any man try to get into holes meant only for us true feminists.
Any woman that has sex with a man is a traitor not only to feminism but to all women everywhere. How can we fight for our rights if women are sleeping with the enemy? IMO these misguided grrls are worse than men!

Some people are just jerks. It has nothing to do with your gender, they were just mad that they didn’t get the promotion. They would say similar things about anyone else who might have gotten the promotion too, but since you are a woman it gives them something easy to complain about.

They were just upset and your gender made for an excuse, they are just jerks.

Often times when a woman is given a high paying job in corporate America they are faced with this same kind of discrimination and prejudice that you have gone through. The best thing to remember that is that the proof is in your work, not their words. Let the say what they want, the way you combat this is by doing exactly what you are doing, proving them wrong. Many men feel that corporate America is only for them because its where all the big cheese is made. Women have been proving this wrong for decades. The best defense is always a good offense.
Katie, you are insane.

Some men think that women can only succeed in the business world because of their gender because they have no other excuse to justify their own failures or shortcomings. It isn’t right and you should focus on being proud of your hard work and accomplishment, avoid the negative people if possible, their reaction is entirely unprofessional.

Boo-hoo, the evil manager made you work harder. Life isn’t fair. Some people have to work more to get appreciated , but whining about it isn’t going to change anything. You’re not the only one with a disadvantage : Handicaped or mentally challenged people are treated as 3rd class citizens, ugly people get a lot less affection and empathy from other people, short people are even paid a lot less than tall people. You just have to work harder to get the same amount of respect, but that’s just life, you can’t expect getting something, you have to work for it.

Congratulations on your promotion, sounds like you earned it.
I wouldn’t worry so much about the men saying what you were told they said. You weren’t there, you didn’t hear it- hearsay has no value. I would give consideration to the person who shared the information with you. What is the purpose of spreading sour information like that? It doesn’t do you any good to hear it, and it doesn’t do them any good to tell it, or does it?
Now, instead of being completely comfortable in your new position, you are experiencing distress because of something that is not worth your energy or your time.
The reason, to answer your last question, that some men think that women can only succeed in the business world because of their gender is because they have not learned how to see the world for what it is. They are blinded, like many people in all walks of life, by preconceived and unfounded ideas about who should be where in given situations. They haven’t learned to see women as people rather than objects, but then again society doesn’t necessarily encourage women to be seen as more than objects of entertainment or caregivers.

Men are not "against you because of your gender".
THAT IS A MYTH.
If you don’t get a JOB… its NOT because you are "female"….
Its because —>> you didn’t get the job for exactly the same reason another unworthy MAN didn’t get it.
STOP looking to others to help you find reasons to blame men.
It’s NOT because "you’re female".
Remind yourself another man didn’t get the job too.
That’s called —->> "accepting personal responsibility" instead of blaming others.
Hope that’s clear.

Because instead of just admitting that a girl was chosen over them, they would rather blame their failure on you because you’re a woman, and a minority woman at that. It sounds like you deserved the promotion, and they are being sexist pigs for ignoring your hard work and saying those things about you. I’m sure that if it had been a man that got promoted, it would’ve been because of all his hard work and dedication.
