    Don’t get the iPad. …
    Don’t get the iPad. Trust me, it’s a total piece of $h*t. You don’t even have to waste your time considering buying it. IF it had expandable memory, it MIGHT be worth considering. But, what’s this? If you want more memory, you have to pay for a whole new, more expensive iPad! Hmmm…strange. Once again, we see Apple attempting to monopolize the industry.

  2. pcred562 Says:

    They do. It’s just …
    They do. It’s just rather expensive, and you have to buy a “special,” -more expensive- case to attach it to.
    The Cost: around 50$, inclusive.

    Firstly: That’s not …
    Firstly: That’s not a standard paperback book. Secondly: I am planning to get one myself.
    Thirdly: You mean, 32G? (There is no 34G.)

    @snozdog You can …
    @snozdog You can put any word or pdf file on it and it will work just fine. So even illegal copies or whatever pose no problems at all.

  5. snozdog Says:

    Can you download …
    Can you download ebooks and but them on it, or can you put only official “paid for” material on it?

    that’s a crap …

    @peterdoes ok do they make a light for it to clip on or something. if they dont they should.

  9. peterdoes Says:

    @OregonBackpacker …
    @OregonBackpacker no, you need a lightsource to be able to read on this. Just like with a real book

  10. OregonBackpacker Says:

    @tubeMonger yes you …
    @tubeMonger yes you can take notes and highlite and underline words and i will save it. Can you read these in the dark.

  11. tubeMonger Says:

    Would this be good …
    Would this be good for a researcher who needs to make notes and underline keywords and can you get notes out of the reader (if you wish to print something or quote passages)?

    @karaloca really?? …
    @karaloca really?? hmm that sucks. I didn’t get any of that to be honest. No pixelating and no tired eyes either.
    But I guess what works for one, doesnt work for everyone eh?

  13. karaloca Says:

    I picked up one of …
    I picked up one of these at the local Waterstones. I found it absolute junk.
    Wasn’t so much the size, but the screen and how pixelated the text looked.
    It would tire my eyes within pages. I’ll still be buying paper until they get better.
    As a typographer its just thrown away 600 years of development and learning what is acceptable to the human eye. Even little things like a black frame around light pages, how closely the type clashes with the frame. Its hard to put into words, but it was awful.

  14. peterdoes Says:

    it is beyond easy …
    it is beyond easy to use, cause it has limited functionality (compared to kindle and other newer readers) its just for reading so that makes it uncomplicated.
    you can indeed make handwritten notes on it with the stylus. Its not perfect, but it works very well

  15. theneversful Says:

    can you write on …
    can you write on this?
    is easy to use?

    Very good …
    Very good presesntation tips and explanation! I got one as birthday present from my husband. It’s great for those who loves to read. It’s handy, practical, easy to use. As a writer, it’s a good way of editing one’s work even on doc file while multi tasking.

  17. peterdoes Says:

    no it has no …
    no it has no problems showing images, BUT that said… its not made for images. itll display your graphs and such in a PDF very well and the same goes for illustrations in books, but for showing all your holiday pics its far from ideal.
    id say its an 8

  18. artmees Says:

    does it have any major problems with displaying images ?? plz rate the problem from 1-10 1 being the worst :D thnx

    Great review!!!

    I …
    Great review!!!

    I have a 505 and bought the 600 I only had it for one day then returned it because for me the glare on the 600 was too big of an issue. I guess it’s because I’m so used to the 505 and how good the screen is on that.

    If I didn’t own a 505 I would go for the 300 over the 600 just because of the screen glare on the 600, better still! try and buy a 505 if you can find one.

    IMO!!!

    Really god review

    Really god review

    You could read tech specifications all you want but this kind review is from real life.

    I am now really thinking about buying this one. [They are like pretty cheap now, in fact they are a bit cheaper than PRS-505 [older] model in EU double VAT for importing from US included]

    Could you show how do it process JPG or PDF ?

  23. DeathmanElf Says:

    You could replace …
    You could replace firmware with any language even change fonts.

    There are forums which shows how.

    But since there is different controller than in older models

    This is no 100 surefire
    Try ask your seller if they offer reflashing

    I just got a prs 600.. and I put the wrapsol (3M protective film)… 25% _ free ship discount code = chatter..
    I like the feel of the protective film.. no fingerprints. protects the screen too. lifetime warranty.

    Plus get a usb/charger cable for the PSP… works great!

  25. peterdoes Says:

    YES very true, You …
    YES very true, You can take an eReader on holiday and never charge it. The battery will last you for a week ATLEAST and most of the time even longer if you dont turn it on and off all the time.
