All About The Apple iPad And Laptop Wireless Internet
How can I access wireless internet on my laptop?
I installed the proper drivers, but I still can’t get wireless internet. My laptop is wireless capable, and works with bluetooth.
you will need to configure your router. Type in 192.168.1.1 into web page. It is the IP address of the router. There you can name and set the password for your wireless router. When that is done turn on the wifi on the laptop and do a search for available networks. Find your and add it.

Do you have a wireless router or a wireless access point to connect to? Is it within range (inside your home?)
Can you connect to the Internet using another method (Ethernet cable)?
Do you have Internet service?

A wireless computer will only get wireless internet if there is a wireless internet source/router nearby (like Comcast/Verizon/etc) . It’s not like a cell phone that gets signals almost everywhere.
If you’re near a wireless router, your computer should see the signal but you may have to enter a "key" password in order to actually connect.
