    Well, it isnt a phone in its own right, but when paired with bluetooth it does more than let you notice the call, it has a microphone built in so you can actually answer the call without taking out your phone, and you can actually make calls from you P2. I just tried it today, it worked beautifully.

    samsung p2 uses bluetooth, so yes you have to have a cell phone near you, if I remember it correctly, it has to be within 10m from your p2

    P.S.S sorry one more thing… this is an mp3 player not a phone like the iphone… they simply added the phone firmware in order for it to make it easier for people (who r listening to music) to be able to notice the call and take it right away instead of missing it
