How to Jail Break an iPod touch 2nd gen. 4.0 version
This video shows you the real way to jail break your iPod touch 2nd gen. or 3d. gen. here are the easy steps that you have to follow:
1. First download the iOS 4 .ipsw file: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=JFZYZVWJ
2. Now update your iPod Touch 2G to iOS 4 manually.

3. Download Redsn0w 0.9.5:

4. Now run redsn0w application to jailbreak iPod Touch 2G with iOS 4.
5. Browse to the iOS 4 .ipsw file that you downloaded at first and choose it.

7. Wait till Reds0w o.9.5 jailbreaks your iPod Touch 2G.
That’s it! Now you have a completely jailbroken iPod Touch 2G running 4.0 firmware or iOS 4 in your hands.

They are still demoing different features on it, but while they loaded the National Geographic website it appeared to have loaded a flash ad. The iPad may support flash! This video has three tutorials that are all combined into one: How to get OpenSSH, How to get Veency, and How to fix the Veency black screen.
Here is the username and password to get into OpenSSH:
Username: root Password: alpine
WARNING: After you instal the Veency file from on your iPod; make sure you Soft restart, or respring, your iPod (go to SBSettings touch the little button that says ‘respring’). Or if its too confusing, just play it safe and turn your iPod off and then back on.
